I got quotes from three vendors on my garage door replacement. In fact, Precision was the highest price, but offered the best hardware and best quality door (24 gauge steel, lifetime guarantee on springs, etc). I was willing to pay the extra for a quality product. I am very pleased with my door; however, customer service and followup were rather poor. When I signed the contract and paid the deposit, more than a week passed without anyone getting back to me. I finally had to call the company to find out when my door would be installed. When my door was installed, a measurement error placed the rail in a position to block the door from my family room into the garage. Again, no one from the company contacted me, and I had to call them to find out the plan and timing for a corrective action. Overall, they do offer a quality product, but the company is a bit like a ghost. I never got the feeling that there was a local presence that actually cared about my satisfaction. I would recommend this company to a friend based on the product/hardware quality, but would caution that customer service is poor. For the local franchisee, I would recommend that you establish a contact with the customer and assign a single person to oversee customer contact/satisfaction from start to finish. A business card with a local phone number and email would be very helpful in this regard. Also, a defective installation certainly warrants a phone call to the customer within 24 hours!

My garage got off the tracks and could not close. I needed help immediately due to valuable items in the garage. I called various local garage companies and non were available right away. I would have had to leave my garage open all night. I called Precision and Ryan came out within a couple hours. It was obvious that we needed a new garage, but in the mean time, Ryan fixed it to be functional. We ordered a new garage on the spot and are looking forward to its arrival in a couple weeks. My techs name was Patrick. He was very businesslike, friendly and courteous. He explained the work to be done and the time it would take. I needed a new cable. I purchased the package for total garage repair(cable, rollers, springs etc.) he was very proficient in his job. When the work was done explained and showed me his work. I was very pleased. The old expression..you get what you pay for...rang true. As I am 66yrs old and with shoulder problems, it makes my day so much easier. Patrick was professional, arrived on Time and reviewed the problem with me. Immediately identified the problem and explained actions to correct. I mentioned that the door is quite loud when opening / closing and he recommended replacement of rollers. Now the until is almost silent - much improved. My new garage door opener was not working properly so I called and Ryan came out the next morning. He called me a number of times during the morning to keep me updated on when he would be arriving. Once here, he diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired it and then checked the work done on previous visits and made adjustments as needed. Ryan did a great job and I am quite satisfied.

A dire need occurred on a Friday evening at 7PM when the spring on my garage broke. The company that installed my motor in 2011 does not have evening, weekend, or emergency hours. I took a dinosaur the Buffalo telephone book and flipped to garages, I seen a big ad with an Amherst number and phoned. To my surprise they were open and she was able to schedule me for the next day (Saturday between 12-4PM). The next day, Michael, the technician phone me a little after 11AM and stated he finished his precious job early and that he was on his way. Michael explained that I needed all new moving parts which would be considered a rebuild, I DID NOT need a new door (door was in good condition). I left him to do his job as I continued mine in the house. Once completed he showed and explained everything that was done and what I needed to do to keep it functioning properly to last many years. We learned of Precision through Angie's List where we purchased a deal to have our garage door tuned up and rollers replaced. In checking over the door when he first arrived Patrick said that one of the springs was not working correctly. He quoted me a price for 2 springs but then realized that the wrong springs were put on the door when it was repaired last and we actually only needed one of the Precision brand saving us money in the end! Patrick was very personable and did a great job.

My garage door opener stopped working Friday night. I called a little after 9am Saturday morning and Patrick was here by 10am. After determining it was not possible to repair the existing opener, Patrick installed an entire new unit in about an hour. Patrick was very personable and did a great job.

We purchased the Garage Door Maintenance with Nylon Roller Replacement that was offered by AAA at a discount for $XXX. Precision Door was very professional, they made an immediate appointment. Mike called before he came and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He and his colleague changed the rollers and checked the rest of the door, opener and springs. They lubed everything and then explained about certain issues with the existing equipment. Mike never tried to up-sell me or pressure me into buying anything more than I contracted for. I asked him questions about a new opener and new spring system if needed and he was very forthright again without being pushy. I had a very nice experience with Mike and Precision Door.

Mike came to help me on Saturday 4/12. First I was surprised I could get help on a Saturday which I was very thankful for. I could not get out of my garage due to a broken coil so I surely did not want to be housebound for the weekend. So he came in a timely manner and fixed my door. He was pleasant, thorough and explained everything to me before he began his service. No one likes to spend money on these types of repairs, however as a homeowner, you have to expect it. I was pleased with the service we received from Precision and was able to schedule the repair for the very next day after I called. (Had called another company and their "soonest-available" was 8 days out!) Appreciated the e-mail they sent with company information and which technician was scheduled to do the repair. Dear Mr. Paruta, Your service was unbelievable. My garage door stopped working late Saturday afternoon. I saw your ad in our local Phone book and called. It was 5:15PM. Your female rep arranged for someone to come out Sunday afternoon. She was so nice. Well I can't say enough about your service rep.Bill. He was great. So professional. He came Sunday - worked for over an hour but had to come back on Monday as the door needed an additional part. He lube and tighten everything as well as replace a left frame that was dislocated.
